• Hosts the Meguro Kinen, a notable post-Derby G2 handicap.
• The Copa Republica Argentina was first run in 1963 as the Argentine Jockey Club Cup. The Argentine Jockey Club donated the trophy to the JRA as a gesture of goodwill and friendship between the two countries' racing communities. It was one of Japan's earlier international exchange races and was renamed in 1975.
