Fact 1

Because of her size, many trainers were trying to take in Flower, Masahiro Matsuda (her eventual trainer) comparing her to Bambi, saying she was "all legs, no width" and that "a sneeze could knock her over". But, having a good gut feeling about her, he trained her anyways. Not only did she end up going on a winning streak, she quickly ended up becoming Nishiyama Farm's first G1 winner, continuing an incredible career that would earn 435 million yen, saving the Farm from financial collapse.
