Legendary right-handed 3200m marathon requiring more than one and a half laps of Kyoto’s outer loop. The field gets a clean 417m opening run, then faces the massive Yodo Hill climb and descent twice before the flat final stretch.

• Hosts Tenno Sho Spring, Kyoto’s flagship long-distance G1.
• Mejiro McQueen won back-to-back Tenno Sho Spring titles here in 1991 and 1992.
• Rice Shower stopped McQueen’s third-title bid in the 1993 Tenno Sho Spring.
• This was the map for the first Gemini Cup Champions Meeting.
