Track Notes

Course Summary

Left-handed dirt marathon and Kawasaki’s major stamina test. The 2100m route uses nearly two full laps, six sharp corners, deep sand, and a compact 300m final straight. Stamina, corner control, and forward positioning are mandatory.

Fun Facts

• Hosts the Kawasaki Kinen, one of the premier older-horse dirt Jpn1 races.
• Hokko Tarumae won three straight Kawasaki Kinen titles from 2014 to 2016.
• 2100m is a Non-Core Distance, so Standard Distance does not activate.
• Six tight corners make endurance and cornering skills especially important.
