Course Summary

Right-handed medium-distance dirt course and one of Japan’s premier sand tests. The 500m opening straight gives the field time to settle, while broad turns and Ooi’s huge flat homestretch create a pure sustained-speed finish.

Fun Facts

• Hosts the Tokyo Daishoten, an international G1 held on December 29.
• Also hosts the Teio Sho, a major mid-year dirt championship.
• Hokko Tarumae is strongly associated with elite Ooi 2000m dirt success.
• Twinkle Race night conditions make this one of the most iconic dirt stages.
