Fun Facts

• Hosts the Champions Cup, formerly known as the Japan Cup Dirt, Japan's major year-end dirt G1.
• Like the Japan Cup, the Champions Cup has been part of the Japan Autumn International series since 2008, with bonus money available to the top three finishers if they are not trained in Japan.
• The Winter Stakes went through several evolutions in distance and grade before being renamed the Tokai Stakes in 2000. The Tokai Stakes was later associated with this 1800m setup before its 2025 grade and distance change.
