Course Summary

Right-handed medium-distance course packed into Fukushima’s compact oval. The 500m pocket start gives a clean opening run, but tight turns, rolling elevation, and a brief uphill final straight make forward positioning much safer than deep closing.

Fun Facts

• Hosts the Tanabata Sho and Fukushima Kinen, two major handicap G3 races.
• Twin Turbo contested and won the 1993 Tanabata Sho here against Ayrton Symboli, a horse with a rich history of facing some of Japan's most famous racehorses and later adapted into Umamusume.
• Suzu Parade earned his second of eight eventual graded wins here in the Fukushima Kinen. He later repeatedly faced Symboli Rudolf, then continued into the Oguri Cap and Tamamo Cross era, including appearances in the Japan Cup against Pay the Butler and that year's Arima Kinen, both depicted in Cinderella Gray.
