Track Notes

Course Summary

Technical left-handed 1800m course with only about 150m before the first sharp turn. Early traffic can get severe, but once runners reach Tokyo’s massive final homestretch, Betwixt and Closer builds gain a major advantage.

Fun Facts

• Hosted the legendary 1998 Mainichi Okan won by Silence Suzuka.
• Also used for the Fuchu Himba Stakes.
• 1800m is a Non-Core Distance, so Standard Distance does not activate.
• Late-race spurt begins in Corner 4, making Corner acceleration useful before the long stretch.
